Kevin Boateng out FA Cup Final

Portsmouth FA Cup title hopes suffered a huge blow when their Germany-born Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng did not make the trip to Wembley for the CUp final against Chelsea.

The midfield star is battling a ankle injury and as not been part of the team’s preparation for the game.

Pompey manager Avram Grant said: ‘It’s not looking so good for Kevin. He has not trained this week and at the moment he will not play.

FIFA earlier this week confirmed Boateng’s nationality switch making him illegible to play for Ghana. He is on Ghana’s 30 man provisional list for the World Cup.

Boateng is expected to join his colleagues in Paris, France on May 24th as the Black Stars prepare for the tournament. It’s unclear if the injury will affect his preparation towards the World Cup too.

Barcelona owes Eto’o 3 million Euros?

Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o claims the club owes him 3 million Euros. This figure represents 15% of his 20 million transfer to Inter Milan over last summer.
According to the Cameroon striker, Spain’s Footballers Association states that players are entitled to 15% of the transfer fee paid to another club.
Meanwhile the Spanish giants disagree claiming that this applies to only Spain and the agreement is between Spanish clubs. Again the payments is the responsibility of the club that purchases the club.
If an agreement cannot be reached between the two parties we see the resort to the courts.
